Goals for 2025

A few weeks deep into 2025 already, and how are your goals or New Year’s resolutions going? I hope you’re continuing to work towards them, and also allowing yourself grace in the process. If you’ve found you’ve already missed a day of completing something you were hoping to do every day, don’t beat yourself up to the point of failure and giving up already. Just pick yourself back up, and try not to miss two days in a row.

At the start of each year, Chris and I sit down together and formulate some goals for the year. It’s not an exhaustive list, but rather something to focus on to keep going. We call them “Our 5 F Goals”. They are: Faith, Family, Fitness, Finances, and Fun. Under each section we write some goals related to that area of our lives. For example, under fitness a goal for each of us is to complete a half marathon on the Sunshine Coast in August. And under faith a goal is for us to memorise a Scripture verse each month. I write these goals down on a page in my planner so I can regularly look back on them and see how we’re tracking (I am still and always will be a pen and paper girl 😍). These goals are a mix of focus for each of us and some solo/individual goals.

I won’t share all of our goals on here, but I did want to share some other mini goals I created for myself:

Daily time with Jesus: Bible, prayer, worship.

Praying when I’m doing a mundane task: washing the dishes, folding laundry, hanging out the washing, in the car.

Reply to text messages more promptly.

Reengage in work, even if its a small capacity.

Read more books to Samuel, and continue with my own reading habits and plans.

Continue with home cleaning habits and regular declutter of the home.

Continue with workouts, running, walks. Continue with consistency with Park Run on Saturday mornings.

Check-in with friends and call more often. Aim to call at least one friend each week.

Send Scripture texts on Monday mornings.

Become more consistent with the Love, Gracie blog and post every Tuesday.

Perhaps at the end of the year I can reflect back and see how I went with each of those. How are you doing with your goals? What are some of your goals for 2025? Whatever they are, I hope you enjoy planning them as you look forward to whatever the new year brings.

Proverbs 29:18 – Where there is no vision, the people perish.

Love, Gracie.
