Weekend Back at the Coast

Firstly, apologies over the delay in writing a blog post. Life has been quite busy and amongst wrapping things up in my current job before I have a little break and enjoy being at home for a bit, Chris and I enjoyed a spontaneous trip back to the Sunshine Coast. Prompted by the arrival of our new and beloved little nephew, we quickly packed our bags and booked a lovely unit in Alexandra Headlands at The Mandolin hotel (highly recommend!) for our two-night getaway. Our time away included beach swims, a double-date dinner out with my best friend and her husband, spending lots of time with family, relaxing at my parents’ place in the hinterland, enjoying church on Sunday morning, crying tears of joy as we met our little nephew and our other friends’ baby, playing tennis and mini-golf, and waking up in the morning to beautiful sunshine. The Lord knew we needed this time away to refresh and reconnect with Him, each other, and friends and family. Here’s a little photo journal for you to enjoy.

The view looking north-east from our unit, with Old Woman Island in the distance.
We had well and truly missed the ocean.
We had the blessing of meeting one of my best friends’ little baby as well. He’s such a treasure!
Chris and I are still improving with our tennis skills, but it’s a game we really enjoy.
One of my favourite places in the world: my parents’ place and the green rolling hills.
My sweet Chris. He works so hard, I love seeing him relax and enjoy himself on little holidays.
Really thankful for a lovely weekend away.

I’m so thankful for the opportunity we had and the people we were able to connect with. I love this little life I’m able to share with my sweet Chris.

Jude 1:24-25 – Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Love, Gracie.
