Can you believe that we are already almost through January of 2026. My goodness, this year is going to fly past. Before we reach the end of 1/12, I’m doing a reflection and checking in on my goals and ins and outs for 2026. As we turned the page into the new year, I created some goals alongside my husband, and then did a little solo side hustle and created a list of ins & outs for the years. I also have a word for the year: prioritise. So I’ll share some of my goals and ins & outs and let you know how I’m tracking along almost a month into the year.
Goals: For our goals each year, Chris and I sit down together and write out our goals following a format. I call it the 5 F Goals, being goals related to Faith, Family, Fitness, Finances and Fun. I’m a gal who loves her A5 planner so I write these on a page in there so they’re easy to look at and find throughout the year. I won’t share all of our goals, however some of them include:
- Faith: Read a Psalm or other Bible chapter together every day.
- Family: Visit family in the UK.
- Fitness: Complete all of the Parkruns on the Sunshine Coast.
- Finances: Give generously, save efficiently, spend wisely.
- Fun: Reengage with my Love, Gracie blog.
So far, they’re all tracking along well (I mean, we haven’t been to the UK yet but that’s ok).

Ins & Outs: This is something I discovered while listening to a podcast last year and I liked it, so I’ve created a list of ins and outs, however I have modified this to include “continue with”. 2025 was a year I created and kept to some great habits, such as reading and fitness, and I’d love to stick to these. So here’s some of these:
- Continue with: Reading habits (carry a book in my bag, read before bed), fitness (running, Nourish Move Love workouts on YouTube, swimming), drink a litre of water per day.
- Ins: Replying quicker to texts, simple stretches every day, Scripture around the home and reminds to pray.
- Outs: Ignoring my app time limits to then doom-scroll, soft drink, poor posture.
Word for the year: Prioritise. I kept praying about my word for the year and this just kept coming back to me. We’ve recently moved back closer to family and so we’re in a transition phase of our lives, but I do feel as though God is reminding me to prioritise Him and the important things in life.
So there’s my list. Towards the end of the year I’ll do a post reflecting on how this year has tracked and progressed in terms of my goals. Do you have goals or a list of ins & outs, or a word for the year?
Matthew 6:33 – Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Love, Gracie.
