My Favourite At Home Workouts

For a long time now, I’ve really enjoyed completing workouts at home, especially since becoming a mum. Prior to having Samuel, Chris and I both would go to the job multiple times a week, however, this past year I’ve just found it much easier to do workouts at home, usually when Sam is having a day-time sleep. It’s taken me a while to find the right workouts to partake in that suit my level of fitness, needs, and overall desires to work on regarding muscle, cardiovascular, mobility, and other physical needs. I have however found some really great workouts and fitness channels to follow (all on YouTube) that I’d love to share with you.
(PS: I don’t know these people personally…just thought I help you out to find some good at home fitness channels).

MadFit: (https://www.youtube.com/@MadFit) I LOVE MadFit!! I’ve been following along with her workouts for a long time now, and I just adore her personality and the variety she has on her page. She really took off during the COVID-19 pandemic when all of us were stuck at home, and has continued to thrive ever since. Some of my favourites of her workouts include:

  • 15 Minute Morning Stretch & Light Workout: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWt8VRHxxgs I love her stretching videos, and this is one I try to complete most mornings when I can. The pace is great, and she pairs her workouts with nice music that make waking up and getting into the day all the more merrier.
  • Workouts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2fFOsLdHwQ
The variety of workouts on the MadFit channel is superb! Ranging from 10 minutes to 45 minutes, with some including weights/equipment and others not including any, some are full-body focused while others might have a glute or ab focus, she’s really got a lot of great content.
  • Dance Workouts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hto4-jGe4EE
This is such an iconic MadFit workout…her dance workouts! She had years of dance training and incorporates them into her fitness routine in a super fun and energetic way. She dances to all sorts of music to suit different tastes and styles, and believe me, you are sweaty by the end of them!

Nourish Move Love: (https://www.youtube.com/@nourishmovelove)
This channel is more of a recent discovery for me, especially since Lindsey, the founder, has SO many great pre-and-post-partum workouts. I found it particularly hard to find good workouts to do when I was pregnant, but these have been amazing. If you’re up for a challenge, I can HIGHLY suggest her Build 30 program, a 10-day program designed to build strength and muscle. It’s not easy, and I was sore for days following some of the workouts, but I absolutely loved it! I noticed a real difference after I completed it, and I’m now repeating the program.

GrowwithJo: I was once fumbling around YouTube and found this lovely channel, which included a praise and worship dance workout to great Christian music (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEFT9cvU8gk). I haven’t partaken in a whole lot of her workouts, however, this is one I will repeatedly come back to.

I hope this list gave you some ideas for your own home workouts. Let me know what ones you liked or the ones you’re willing to try, or if there’s any other channels you can recommend.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your bodies.

Love, Gracie.
