Situated on the east coast of Australia in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is an absolutely stunning slice of paradise. Noosa National Park is an absolute must for any visit to the Sunshine Coast. Located an hour and a half drive north of Brisbane, this is a place I have been to many times and will happily venture back many times more. Here you can hike, surf, swim, run, stroll, stand-up paddle board, admire wildlife – choosing all of them or just some of those.

Some Top Tips:
Parking: Now this is a very popular place! There’s a carpark at the entrance of the National park, however, this can fill up super quickly and become blocked with those stalking people back to their cars to desperately find a spot. There is also some parking in the back streets nearby so this can be a great option. My suggestion is go early in the day or later in the afternoon, and avoid school holidays. If all else fails, you can park in Hastings Street in the main Noosa area and walk about one kilometre from there along the boardwalk, but just be careful of parking time restrictions.

Choosing a walk: If you have the time, walking to an area called Hells Gates (trust me, it’s super pretty despite the terrible name) is well worth it. This usually takes about 45 minutes one way, plus allow time for some breaks and to take photos. If time is short, the walk to Tea Tree Bay is lovely and should take about 15 minutes each way. Up to an area called Dolphin Point, the path is both wheelchair and pram accessible as after this there are steps. Whichever walk you choose, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!

What to bring: Well, I suppose this depends on what activities you choose to do, but a few basics I suppose would definitely be water and a hat (the Queensland sun can be quick intense), and if you’re able, a swim at Tea Tree Bay is so refreshing. If you’re going to do a big walk and also swim, I recommend doing the walk first and then swimming on your way back as doing the hike in wet togs is not fun (trust me). Also, definitely bring your camera and a heart of gratitude for being able to enjoy such a beautiful place.

I hope these help you to enjoy your time at Noosa National Park, whatever your time there looks like.
Matthew 6:33 – But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Love, Gracie.
