Australia is full of hidden gems. Lovely little country towns scattered throughout this sixth largest country by land mass, each with their own charm and unique features. And from my experience, it is always worth the road trips to enjoy them.
One of these hidden gems in St George, located in south-west Queensland just over 500km west of Brisbane. This lovely little town has a population of just over 3,000 people and plenty of things to see and do. Some highlights include:
Riversands Winery: A definite must see and do is the gorgeous Riversands Winery, located a 5 minute drive from the main part of town. Here you can enjoy wine tasting, great food, and appreciate the hard work the local family have put into creating this gorgeous winery. Their grape chutney and jam is delicious and I bought some to bring home.

Sunset cruise along the Balonne River: Recently QLD was blessed with some beautiful rain that has brought much anticipated life back into the ground and all around. This includes the rivers, creeks and lakes of the outback, such as the Balonne River that runs through St George. During this weekend away, we enjoyed a cruise down the river at sunset and witnessed the colours come alive as the afternoon turned into dusk. The purity and serenity of that time of day is so dreamy.

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely little hidden gem of a town in Queensland, Australia.
Psalm 23:1-3 – The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.
Love, Gracie.
